More than 60 Henderson County Business and Education Task Force members came together this week to continue working toward fostering a skilled workforce to meet current and future local business needs.
"One of the hardest things, especially with a grassroots initiative, is to keep the momentum behind the initiative," said Athens Economic Director Joanie Ahlers. "And they're doing it."
Ahlers, along with Athens Chamber Director Kristin Willingham and County Judge Wade McKinney, is helping to facilitate the group.
"I was really pleased with the amount of work the subcommittees had completed," said Ahlers. "All subcommittees are a go for finishing their work and presenting again in June."
