The City of Athens issues permits for various activities throughout the City.  These include permits for building or remodeling structures, garage sales, the installation of permanent or temporary signs, and others.  

All permits require an application to be submitted, reviewed, and approved by City Staff before any permit-related activity can begin.  Additionally, most permits require the payment of a permit fee at the time the application is submitted.
